It might manifest as being anxious when everything is going really well, or feeling guilty for succeeding. And worries about social rejection or alienation from friends and family, feeling like a fraud or being unworthy, or believing that success has negative consequences can all lead to sabotaging, procrastinating, or avoiding it altogether. Such fears and hindering behaviors can stem from beliefs or basic physiology, both of which can actually be running your life under the radar. Your physiology can mix up excitement with fear, and signal scary feelings and thoughts about success that dictate your subsequent actions. However, by syncing your body and mind to the same goals, achieving and enjoying success can come within your reach. This course will show you how.
We all experience varying degrees of trauma throughout our lives—from reading the daily news to larger traumatic events in our own personal histories. These traumas can manifest as muscular tension, digestive disorders, a weakened immune system, insomnia, fatigue, anxiety and depression, or be triggered and aggravated in other ways.
This experiential workshop introduces the physiology of trauma and provides techniques for managing trauma on a daily basis. Whether you have experienced trauma or work with those who have, you'll learn techniques from somatic psychotherapy, yoga, and Chinese medicine to help heal the traumatized body and mind.
